Company History

Vector Lifting was founded in 1989 by Alessio Capelli, starting as a specialist engineering company focused on delivering high-quality materials handling equipment to Australian industries. From the outset, the business built its reputation on precision manufacturing, safety, and reliability.
In 1992, Vector Lifting moved into its current purpose-built facility in Cockburn Central, Western Australia, enabling the company to increase production capacity and broaden its engineering capabilities. Over time, the product range expanded to include rail maintenance equipment — such as jacks, under-floor and above-floor train lifting systems, bogie and wheelset hoists, turntables — as well as jib and gantry cranes, hoists, take-up winches, and structural steel fabrication.

A major milestone came in February 2012, when Vector Lifting was awarded the Australian distributorship of Reid Lifting aluminium lifting products, further strengthening its offering to customers nationwide.
In 2020, leadership transitioned to the next generation, with Clinton Capelli becoming General Manager, guiding the company into a new era of growth and innovation. Continuing this trajectory, 2023 saw the expansion of operations to include a dedicated abrasive blasting and paint yard, providing even greater in-house control over project quality and delivery timelines.

Today, Vector Lifting operates from its Cockburn Central headquarters, supported by distributors in every Australian state. With more than three decades of proven expertise, the company is recognised as a trusted supplier and manufacturer for both industrial and rail maintenance sectors, delivering robust, innovative, and customised lifting solutions across Australia.
